Program Overview

We are proud to offer preschool and daycare programs for infants through after school elementary children. Each program is unique in its structure with smaller class sizes and lower ratios to ensure high levels of teacher engagement.  As a staff, we study the Content Standards for CO Department of Education with a focus on Preschool.  We glean from these standards specific learning objectives for each age group.  Then when we as a staff plan our themes & monthly lesson plans, directly coordinate our activities to these learning objectives.  We present the activities to the children using Creative Curriculum™ methods which is focused on a play based and hands on activity center centric schedule.  Each stage of our preschool has a balanced schedule designed to address all developmental domains important to your child’s growth and development.

At CLP, we invest in your children even further with a “3 teacher” classroom model. This translates into lower ratios than our peers, more individual attention for your child and happier teachers. Which all leads to the best experience for your family.

Infants (3 months to 12 months)

Every day our infant program provides a balanced schedule designed to address all domains important to your child’s growth and development. Throughout their day, your infant will first and foremost receive “responsive care” to ensure their needs are being met with diaper changes, feedings, naps, etc. All aspects of their day are managed and tracked in our school’s mobile app for you to see, including nap, feeding, and sleep notifications.

In addition to the responsive care aspects of their day, infants enjoy meaningful interaction with their teachers, both vocal and physical. We believe that it’s never too early to begin engaging little ones in circle time activities such as music, story time, finger play and more.

Infant care is an important partnership between parents and teachers and we work very closely with our families to ensure that your infant receives the best care possible.

Toddlers (12 months to 24 months)

Our toddler programs provide a balanced schedule designed to address all developmental domains important to your child’s growth and development. Throughout their day, your child will enjoy a daily schedule structured to have a balance of small/large groups, teacher directed instruction/child lead exploration, process/product art & fine/gross motor activities.

Our Toddler classroom introduces the centers concept. These areas are ever changing based on the monthly themes we focus on.  Our table/center activities change weekly, and vary depending on theme & learning objective.

At this stage, toddlers are working on basic verbal and cognitive concepts such as saying 1-2 word combinations and very early sharing. Physically they are becoming more aware of their environment and exploring art, basic puzzles, and beginning color/shape recognition.

Teachers communicate via our mobile app and email about each child’s growth and meet biannually for parent-teacher conferences.

Toddler 2 (24 months to 36 months)

Our “Two’s” is a continuation of our Toddler program as the kiddos prepare for their entry into ECE 3 (Early Childhood Education) for three year olds. Our toddler programs provide a balanced schedule designed to address all developmental domains important to your child’s growth and development. Throughout their day, your child will enjoy a daily schedule of small/large groups, teacher directed instruction/child lead exploration, process/product art & fine/gross motor activities.

Our Toddler 2 classroom expands on the centers concept, introducing additional areas and ideas. At this stage, toddlers are working on intermediate verbal and cognitive concepts such as combining words into sentences and very early numbers. Physically they are working more on coordination and fine motor skills while exploring art, puzzles, and additional color/shape recognition.

Teachers communicate via our mobile app and email about each child’s growth and meet biannually for parent-teacher conferences.

ECE 3 Preschool Age (3 years to 4 years)

We strive to create an environment rich in experiences that focuses on language development, academic centers, social/emotional development, fine/gross motor development, and artistic expression.

We have an amazing curriculum that is based on the Creative Curriculum. We use their play based & learning center theory while incorporating additional academic activities. During center time, the teachers work on specific academic, fine motor, and writing activities with a small group of children. This allows the teachers to pinpoint area of achievement, and needed areas of growth for each specific child. Teachers communicate via our mobile app and email about each child’s growth and meet biannually for parent-teacher conferences.

At the early preschool ages, they will be continuing to work on colors, shapes, puzzles, and early writing along with arts and crafts. Verbally they will be working to put together larger ideas and communicate with larger sentences.

ECE 4 Pre-Kindergarten Age (4 years to 5 years)

In our oldest classrooms, we are highly focused on preparing the children for life as a kindergartner. We begin introducing the schedules and classroom routines that they will experience as they transition to their next phase of school.

Kids are making great strides in these years and we see quite a variance in their individual development, therefore we keep our classes small and ratios low. This allows the teachers to pinpoint area of achievement, and needed areas of growth for each specific child.

During center time, the teachers will expand on their academic, fine motor, and writing activities. Teachers communicate via our mobile app and email about each child’s growth and meet biannually for parent-teacher conferences.

Enrichments (Toddlers and up)

In addition to the daily curriculum, we offer a variety of rotating enrichment classes that allow the kids to experience new and different concepts and activities throughout the week. We believe that expanding the realm of experience beyond the typical classroom activities is important to nurturing children’s curiosity and interest in learning. Therefore we invest in additional staff and programming to bring programs like Spanish and Yoga into their weekly experience.

We also view enrichments as a great way to try out new ideas and allow the children to explore the world around them.
